AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION, ON BEHALF OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, TO CONVEY ALL RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST TO CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY, AND ANY IMPROVEMENTS THEREON, TO MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; TO AUTHORIZE NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT TO CONVEY TO THE BENTON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY, AND ANY IMPROVEMENTS THEREON; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. In consideration of One Dollar ($1.00), the Department of Finance and Administration may convey, on behalf of the State of Mississippi, all right, title and interest in certain real property, and any improvements thereon, located in Montgomery County, Mississippi, to Montgomery County, Mississippi, the property being more particularly described as follows:

5 acres of land, more or less, situated in the Southeast Quarter or Section 23, Township 19 North, Range 5 East, Montgomery County, Mississippi, particularly described as running from the section corner common to Sections 23, 24, 25 and 26, Township 19 North, Range 5 East, west a distance of 604 feet to the center line of Highway No. 51; thence north 30 minutes west along said highway center line 883 feet to a point, thence west 771 feet to a stake at the southeast corner of the tract of land hereby described and conveyed, and thence around said tract as follows: thence west 400 feet to a stake, thence north 50.3 feet to a stake, thence north four degrees and 48 minutes west a distance of 462.22 feet to a stake, thence east 438.61 feet to a stake, and thence south a distance of 510.7 feet to a stake at the southeast corner of the tract hereby conveyed and close.

The Secretary of State shall approve this conveyance and join in this conveyance for all purposes.

SECTION 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of any law to the contrary, for consideration of One Dollar ($1.00), Northwest Mississippi Community College District, by and through its board of trustees, may convey to the Benton County, Mississippi, School District three and eighty-six one hundredths (3.86) acres of real property and the improvements thereon which are owned by the Northwest Mississippi Community College District and which are located in the Town of Ashland, Benton County, Mississippi, the property being more particularly described as follows:

3.86 acres of land, more or less, located in the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section 3, Township 3 South, Range 1 East, Benton County, Mississippi, and more particularly described as follows:

Commence at the Northwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of said Section 3, thence run South 990 feet to a point on the East boundary line of Mississippi Highway No. 5; (said point is also the Southwest Corner of a tract of land owned by L.L. Drennan); thence continue South 140 feet along the East boundary line of said Mississippi Highway No. 5 to a stake at the point of beginning; thence continue South along said East boundary line of said Mississippi Highway No. 5 a distance of 704.7 feet to a point in the center of the Fairgrounds Road; thence run East 362 feet along the center of said Road to a point; thence run North a distance of 844.7 feet to a stake on a fence line;

thence run West 47 feet to a stake; thence run South

140 feet to a stake; thence run West 315 feet to the

point of beginning.

LESS AND EXCEPT:

2.15 acres, more or less, of land located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 3 South, Range 1 East, Benton County, Mississippi, and more particularly described as follows:

Commence at the Northwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 3; thence run South 990 feet to a point on the East boundary line of Highway Number 5, (said point is the Southwest Corner of a tract of land owned by L. L. Drennan); thence continue South 140 feet along the East boundary line of said Highway Number 5 to a stake on the point of beginning; thence continue south along said East boundary line of Highway Number 5 a distance of 240.66 feet; thence run East 362 feet to a point; thence run North a distance of 380.66 feet to a stake on a fence line; thence run West 47 feet to a stake; thence run South 140 feet to a stake; thence run West 315 feet to the point of beginning.

SECTION 3. The Northwest Mississippi Community College District shall retain all mineral rights to the property conveyed pursuant to this act.

SECTION 4. This act shall be deemed to be full and complete authority for the exercise of the powers herein granted.

SECTION 5. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
